probably the biggest disappointment in recent years, so many were quick to point the finger at Richard Madden for lack of nudity (or any nudity) but that's giving actors too big of an influence, the channel decided to take this path but you don't do a remake of Basic Instinct and have actress playing Catherine Tramell wear knickers in crossing of the legs scene; plus i think the cast was all wrong, way too young
This whole production was one big missed opportunity, unfortunately. Richard still looks great though.
ReplyDeleteOne of the great dumbfounding events in programming history. You take a piece known for its eroticism and button-pushing sexuality that screams for nudity (in fact nudity is both expected and necessary) and then sanitize it making the entire production irrelevant. This was a case so egregious that critics normally denouncing gratuitous nudity were crying foul on its lack of it.
ReplyDeleteSo you baisicly wrote how I feel about "Call me by your name" (film). I don't understand how many gays could possibly love that film :-/
